Kangaroo

The sun sinking in the west...

...is a blaze of golden light and sunrise had been the same although there was a heavy frost in the morning. I did not sleep and had watched the sun blaze to life in a spectacular ball of morning gold. I didn't last long out then it was so cold... and newly opening roses looked like candied confectionary they were so solidly frozen. Here, I was crossing the street going home sweet home in the evening from business in the village centre via the take-away shop to buy a parcel of succulent fish and piping hot chips.
