cat walk
a day full of jobs, setting the house right, taming the overgrown garden. Then onto the grand finale of the day, the lantern procession. Em was very excited and insisted on carrying the lantern most of the way to the muster point. We congregated with our new nursery school friends and admired the handiwork. There were lanterns shaped like dragons, minions, fish, the USS Enterprise, owls, a monkey and so many other things. As dusk fell candles were lit, torches turned on and the creations shone. As the procession wound through the narrow streets of the town more people swelled the numbers carrying their torchlit creations. We didn't make it to the field of light where the wicker shapes are set alight as a certain somebody was all tuckered out. Home to bed.
it's grainy, it's dark but it is Em, Mr W and the Yoda-like cat lantern
