Times Of My Life

Caledonia

What a week! Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - lovely holiday in Ibiza. Wednesday - home to our ain wee hoose and dug. Thursday - laundry and canvassing. Friday - working on the stall and met Nicola and Alex. Saturday - working stall, and heard Dougie McLean and a cast of thousands sing 'Caledonia'.

I was videoing the whole of Caledonia and the crowd singing throughout the duration of the song. Continued recording to get Pete Wishart, one of the MP's for Perthshire and a member of the original fabulous Runrig making a speech. At which point I went to switch off my camera, and discovered it had never been switched on!!!!

Curses. Quickly put it back on in time to get a wee encore, and this is a still from that. Wullie Soutar, the Perth Poet, leans on his bahookie and looks as if he is totally loving the music and the stooshie.

What an atmosphere today in the High Street, couldn't keep up with demand for badges, posters, car stickers etc. Had a long conversation with a Polish man who was voting No because he thought there would be no money left to pay immigrants if we were independent.

Heard tonight of two polls, one commissioned by Better Together which puts them ahead, and one commissioned by a Sunday newspaper which puts Yes Scotland in the lead. OMG - how much more of these swings and roundabouts can we take!

Thank goodness our candidates are the more inspiring and trustworthy.
