Res non verba

Teaching morning - two former Headmasters visited (the ones who appointed me in 1988!) Lunch with some ladies. Some time with Eleanor.
An evening to celebrate and honour Michael Hepworth's time at Birkdale as Headmaster. (1983 for 16 years) An extraordinary time of growth in all senses - buildings, pupils, year groups, staff, spiritually. 'Res non verba' , as the school motto says. A remarkable Christian man - greatly admired. Lots of memories evoked through the photos and speeches. A wonderful evening of meeting former colleagues, staff and pupils (felt old - although one former colleague said I looked 'well preserved - no wonder he is still single!!).
