Fully opened

If you noticed my Blip for the third of September, it featured an orchid beginning to reveal itself. After almost two weeks it has finally opened up to show this exquisite bloom.
It measures only about one centimeter from petal tip to petal tip but the detail portrayed is remarkable. I know there's nothing extraordinary about this orchid as they are probably in abundance all around the world but their popularity doesn't distract from their beauty.

Wonder if I will be so fortunate next year?
