Val Veni

Back out with the group today - they've mostly had a rest day which is good as today is one of the 'big' days - 22km and a 2500m col to cross. Fortunatly this group has been amazingly lucky with the weather - and on days like these it all seems easy.
Walking under the looming mass of the Massif itself - seeing the ridges of the Brenva & the Peuterey falling to the hanging valley floor, the glaciers suddenly seem close enough to touch, the air moving across them is chill when it reaches you - this is a wow moment - not just for the clients - but also for me - no matter how many times I see it.
