A noticeable bonfire !!!!!

We had just left Cockermouth having called in at my Brother's cottage to check it over and having had a lovely lunch at a hotel in Cockermouth itself, when on the way back on the A66 to Keswick. We pulled into a lay by to take some shots.

This is one of them and if you you may be able to see the flames of the bonfire.

I am not sure of the names of the hills, but I liked the smoke drifting across them. We were about half way between Cockermouth and Keswick.

It is annoying, when 'these people' who plan these roads, do not put the lay-byes in the right place so motorists can enjoy a clear view of the outstanding views, but instead 'they' put them by trees and overgrown shrubs. So I had to do some lay-bye hopping to get this one!! Grrrr!

Two more days of holiday left and we make the journey home on Thursday. Long drive to the south. Holidays always seem to go so quick!!

Enjoy and take care.
