Day 1: Wivenhoe - Reykjavik

Well, after years of longing, and anticipation, I finally set foot in Iceland! The 3am start, and no sleep gave me plenty of time to get myself worked up about the flight, and I ended up crying with relief and joy when we touched down! After waiting for over an hour for our pre-booked bus, we head off to the Blue Lagoon, which was lovely after the flight. After floating around for a while, we caught the bus to Reykjavik, and found our gorgeous Air B&B apartment. It was so sunny, so we head out to explore all the landmarks, and got a great view of the city from the top of the church. The pretty colourful roofs of downtown, with Harpa glistening in the background; the whole city feels so crisp and attractive. We wandered round a bit more before finding some dinner and a beer, then head home for an early night after being up for 39 hours straight.
