The Central Canal, Indianapolis

The history of the Central Canal is briefly described here. Now it is a pleasantly restored urban waterway with some incongruous gondolas.

Otherwise, Indianapolis has a rather grand City Center with numerous memorials, the most poignant of which related to The Vietnam War.
