The Andes

The spectacular Andes mountains west of Santiago, visible before we descend through the cloud cover. The long flight is just about over. It is strange to think that I am arriving 20 minutes before I left Sydney. Just the fun of time zones and the date line.

So while everyone is asleep in Australia, Chile is wide awake. We have been advised it is only 11 degrees. Unlike the 23 degrees which was in Sydney for the same date.

It was a rough flight during take off. Also a full flight. Now to enjoy learning new languages and cultures. New food and money too.

I cannot wait!
