We grew a melon!

We planted some melon plants in the spring and didn't really expect a lot from them. We were amazed when we got a watermelon - the birds got to it before us - and then two cantaloupes! We picked one today as it was starting to suffer from heatstroke - it's teeny (hence the car key for comparison) but soooo yummy! We ate some and saved the rest for our daughter's lunch tomorrow! Yum!! And there's another one growing and so many flowers!! I feel an altered Dirty Dancing quote coming on - "I grew the watermelon"!
