The arrival of Autumn

Our Indian - well French actually - Summer has come to its end. Thunderstorms and rain have left the valley wreathed in clouds. Perhaps like the birds, now is the time to perform our Autumn migration. Certainly wee have been putting the fat on in preparation just as the birds do, hopefully not having doubled our weight as Sedge Warblers do though!
The weather change has focussed me on the fact we are returning in less than ten days and there are various bits and pieces that we need to do before we can leave. I always hate this stage when the end is in sight and want now to move on to the next stage. School was always the last same - whenever it was, the last two weeks of term was always scratchy and time seemed to stand still.
