Life with Alice

Like Mother

As it turned out, mum Left me and I had to Sleep Away, can you believe that? In a different bed. A sleepover, they called it. Good for you, they said. It was in the same room even where I lived my first nine weeks, so it wasn't that bad. And us four poodles had a great time together. But still...

Now we're home and everything smells different. Clean. A new carpet under the armchair. Mum's been busy, she claims. I've checked my bed, my bowls, my blankets and our big bed, and they all seem to be untouched. And mum is here. I won't let her out of my sight any time soon...

There is no place like Home.
