Joan of Arc at Reims

As we docked at Zeebrugge news came through of the referendum result. I have to say I was not over surprised ... It was about what I thought would be the outcome. Then we hear later that Alex Salmond has stepped down - pretty much inevitable I guess .
We broke our journey south firstly at Reims to visit the splendid cathedral . A wonderful building that has been restored, remade and conserved over the last 100 or so years since its shelling by the Germans on World War 1. Remarkably exactly 100 years ago today it suffered damage by fire.
Quite a momentous day then and we are now in Beaune where have enjoyed a meal out since , just to add to this amazing day, it is my birthday!
