Zeiss Ikon ZM, for 35mm film, with matching Zeiss 35mm f/2 Biogon lens.
At last it's back from repair, after six weeks. Only had it a briefly, but the On/Off switch was working in reverse, which caused a fair amount of confusion. So after the first spool was finished (results were fine), it went back to the shop, and off to Zeiss. I could have stuck with it, and whilst it isn't anywhere near the Leica range of prices, it still wasn't cheap! I'm now glad I did send it back, and the long wait was worthwhile. On the paperwork that came back with it, they'd also noted that, "Rangefinder slightly dejusted." Therefore, it also had: a clean; (corrective) adjustment; and performance tests. Which is great, as it's now like new.
The view through its viewfinder is unlike any other 35mm cameras I've ever handled. Quite something - huge and bright - with a definite, "Wow" factor. And I reckon a 35mm focal length lens is the best match for that.
Beautiful day, but I took the car. Perhaps just as well, as I'm still dog tired. Also an opportunity to dispose of the (hopefully) last of concrete lumps from the garden, do some large item shopping, and collect the camera. Decided to sell some photo gear via the camera shop too - help keep things in balance a bit! Farewell to the Fuji, and its funny colours, that many users love. But not me. Some other stuff too.
A busy work day as well...
