Nature As You Find It

Todays pictures were all about the wildlife which is prepared to put up with us humans in pretty close proximity.

The light fog which had been in the trees in the early hours meant the spiders webs were clearly visible everywhere.
These two looked a bit like huge Owl eyes.
The gorse bushes were absolutely covered.

According to the RSPB website the Red Legged Partridge is a resident of the east of the country.
Well this one (and his mates) obviously never got the memo.

My son-in-law suggested pheasant for dinner but hadn't realised it was best hung for a while. When I pointed out that we weren't going to be staying long enough he went off the idea (there was no way it was going in his car!).

It was surprising that nobody on what is probably the busiest path in the area was aware of the rabbit feeding about a foot from the tarmac.

The Greater Grinning Cygnet was really enjoying soaking up the sun too.

And the blip? ................. that was just the reflection in the double glazing of the lodge.
It didn't half make the eyes go funny though.
