the first frost....

the first really bad frost, and so it begins!!! luckily Terry covered the tomato plants, around midnight before he came to bed! But it is good to see that we've got a really wonderful harvest of squash being revealed by the dead leaves! the first wood stove on last night, it was only 6 degrees in the house before we left to play poker! won't be long before i'm starting a fire each morning in the mudroom....argggg...i resist the changes in the season so much....well at this end anyway! somehow the transition from Spring to Summer is just fine!
