Dew

The mist which had overhung the city lifted today and made everything seem brighter. A visit to my mother in East Lothian took place in brilliant sunshine and the countryside looked spectacular.

Before then I spotted in one of the hanging baskets this spider's web laden with dew.

I wanted to clear away some of the twigs/ branches to get a clearer shot but to do so would have destroyed the delicacy of the structure.

Tonight many of the droplets have merged so no chance for a second take.
