Oompah

Because every Saturday night should have an oompah band....

After a lazy yet active Saturday pottering, doing washing etc. met up with friends for the last events of Bristol Beer week. Who could say no to an oompah band and chaps in lederhosen?

This was The Barley Mow, in St. Philips, a pub I didn't know existed, is the flagship pub of the Bristol Beer Factory (my local brewer) and was tucked away in an area of Bristol that not so long ago you wouldn't have gone to in daylight let alone night. And definitely a pub worth going to again!

From there we went to Temple Quay for some Wiper and True and Ashley Down brewery beers, entertained by a Balkanesque band, then on to the Volunteer Tavern, where despite being rammed STILL managed to feed us well (yet another example of most-excellent chips.....
