Not sure if I have blipped this particular type of Syrphid fly this year. I know I've done some others, but don't think I've captured this one before today.

I had been hoping that the days after the referendum would be filled with discussing the fantastic possibilities that had just opened up before us with a Yes vote. Lively debates on what our new constitution should contain, watching as negotiations got underway and looking forward to the removal of nuclear weapons from the Clyde and using the money to invest in transforming childcare.

Instead of all of that, I cut the hedge.
