Growing wild...

Not being knowledgeable about the vast variety of fungi growing in the woods, I would be very unlikely to do a taste test.

I think this example might be one of the oyster mushrooms but would happily be corrected. It just looked in good condition and worth a shot.

The promised improvement in the weather is rather intermittent with short bursts of sunlight and quite a lot of cloud in between.
