Les Alpilles

We began with a walk along the limestone ridges behind Les Baux des Provence - amazing shapes in the rock carved by wind and water - and then we carved some not so amazing shapes in limestone blocks at the stone mason's fete on our way back.

A seafood lunch at Bistrot Marin in Mausanne des Alpilles followed, then some poolside relaxing before we joined our lovely hosts Andrea and Nick for a drinks party with a variety of local residents: artists, international lawyers and ex pilots amongst them. It certainly made for stimulating conversation.
