Soaring and screeching
After a walk down into town this morning, we had an earlyish lunch, as we decided to make the most of this great weather and do some work in the garden. We donned our gardening gloves and made a start on some "cutting back" in the borders. Hub mowed both front and back lawns whilst I trimmed and tidied the hanging baskets, window boxes, troughs and tubs that miraculously are still hanging on! We took a breather for a cuppa and I brought my camera outside just in case! Whilst we were sat, we saw three large birds way up high circling........they eventually come closer and lower, we could hear them calling to one another, by which time they were close enough for me to take a few shots with my longer lens (I only have two, 18-55 & 55-200). After some cropping it's not turned out too badly, but I've lost the blue sky (?) would have liked to be closer! I am not sure what it is, I don't think it's the bad birdie from yesterday....maybe a Peregrine? All comments welcome :-)
