I'm working on The English Half Marathon this weekend and the organisers are looking after us magnificently.

Thanks to some outstanding sponsorship I am in a fabulous hotel and tonight we have had a social get together of sponsors, staff and volunteers.

The food, drink and company have been of the highest order.

I was really taken by the cool sofas created from bales of straw. Very effective, very simple, and very comfortable too.

We have allowed ourselves a late one tonight because tomorrow we must go to bed early for our 5 am start on Sunday.
