Duck....

This lovely duck was having such a feast outside the Co-op where we go to buy feed for the chickens....it was either this or the stunning outfit i wore at the hospital earlier!!!!

Had to go get a bone density check.....it is so undignified, this getting older....the things we have to deal with after 50 is just a tad mortifying! I mean, who designs those gowns....and having to leave my big winter boots on....there's just enough room to see a bit of the socks and the very white skin of the leg.....so alluring!

But i think what is more disconcerting than the horrific looking fashion displays...is the sad and very real situations you have to witness! Sitting there in wheelchairs, or on stretcher beds....people always look so lost and vulnerable here. So i guess if all i had to suffer was half an hour of looking like someone from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, I got off lightly!

They say that getting old is definitely not for the weak of heart....i'm hear to tell you ..... it's true!
