ArT...it's not for everyone...

...but it is FOR ME!!!! I love it. I am so energized right now.

My girl and I went to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Downtown San Diego tonight. It was the 3rd Thursday, which meant it was free. As a bonus, we got the tour. Tara Donovan Exhibit. This was just a google image search if you want to view her work.

She uses ordinary objects, Styrofoam cups, rolls of cash register paper, mylar, paper plates, roofing tar paper, pins, toothpicks, straws. I am so excited. It was amazing. I wasn't able to take photographs in the museum, however there is a branch of the museum across the street that had beautiful neon and other glass and lights, and photography WAS allowed. So I had a blippin' blast!!!

Unfortunately the name of this artist escapes me. Raphael something?

I thought it came out really cool. The colors and the silhouette was fun. I have some others to share, but don't have flickr. I guess I will need to get on board!!!

I hope you take time to see ART and take your child to explore art as well. I didn't see an art museum until I was in my late 20's for a Child Development class that I was taking. I was moved to tears. I guess it is the same thing that happens to some people who see an opera, it was the same for me and the with art.

It is in me, this art thing. I felt impelled to say this again, so I looked at my daughter, right there in line tonight and told her, "Don't give up on your dream, you have to do what you are passionate about". And she says she prayed the "God would honor the desires of her heart".

You Go Girl!!!! She is all about fashion and clothing styling and fashion show production. I hope she ROCKS it!!!! She has already had a great start!!!

My son, has a great eye for design, videography, photography, CD layout...I pray he gets on board and does what he is passionate about!!! Nothing would thrill me more as a mom, but to see them shine in the gifts that God has given them...

Me and their dad...that is another story. We dabble on the side...FOR NOW!!! ;]
