An apple a day
Curse my OCD.
I hate having notifications on my phone; it distresses me knowing they're there and I just can't ignore them.
I really didn't want to do the software update, as I've heard it's caused all manner of problems for some people. I reasoned with myself that it would be better to wait until the next update, which would invariably iron out the crinkles.
But that little '1' icon kept looking at me.....taunting me.....'go on.....you know you want to'.....before I knew it I was agreeing to the T's & C's & EULA's all over the place.
I braced myself......what had I done?
It's actually ok. There are quite a few new features that Mr A bragged were on his HTC phone years ago which made me think isn't technology brilliant?!
One little bit of software, downloaded in a couple of minutes over cyberspace, has now enabled my phone camera to take time lapse videos and proper selfies, with a timer and everything!
I can shout 'hey Siri' without touching my phone and he will respond if only I could do the same with Mr A!!!
Messages virtually write themselves as it predicts what you want to write (more than the predictive text of old).
A swipe of the screen reveals my favourites from my contact list; I just click on their photo to call them.
I'm sure there are lots of other amazing things to discover; helpfully there's now an icon for tips which gives different hints on how to make the phone work better for me.
Cool :-)
