Gulls Let Loose

I haven't been to Amwell nature reserve for a long time. Got there quite late and the light wasn't good. A man with a 'scope was at the viewing point and pointed out a water rail and a kingfisher to me. Both were too far away to get decent pics but I loved trying. I captured the kingfisher and its reflection as it caught a couple of fish.

The gulls were making quite a fuss. I quite like this shot as they took to the air as one, purple loosestrife in the foreground.
