Gone fishing

I am sitting in the car across the river from the croft where we're staying and have rigged up a portable WiFi hotspot.

(We're in the Strath of Patchy Signal for the next week so blips over the next seven days, like yesterday and today's, will only get done when I have network coverage.)

Today's been pretty relaxed. We walked down to the bridge pool this morning and watched a fisherman catch some good-sized salmon, a mother sheep and her lamb came to check out the new arrivals at the croft house, and tben in the afternoon, a shooting party went into hills above the croft, so we decided to clear out for a while and head to the nearest store on the coast road between Bettyhill and Thurso, in order to pick up a newspaper and some haggis for breakfast.

It's salmon for tea tonight, so I'd best get back!
