Another Languedoc year...

Lido, lidon't

As we had a surfeit of sheets left over from our now defunct B&B we thought they might be of use to some of the 200 people displaced by the deluge. So we went to Lamalou. Ali hadn't seen the damage, but here she is, walking past the lido. All summer it has looked clean, sparkling and inviting. Today it is a disaster zone. The river burst its banks and deposited colossal quantities of mud in the pools. The smashed down fences have been cleared away and the trees and logs removed. I can't think that anyone will be swimming there for a long time.
