Root Canal Treatment
I was at a loss as to where I could take my new pocket snapper for a lunchtime walk, and then remembered the breadth of parking spaces at the out of town retail park. From the retail park, the Grand Union invisibly meanders along the edge of Leamington on a journey to Birmingham. The path was quite popular with strollers. It was warm, and the sun glittered on and off with the wave to and fro of upper tree branches. Nearing the railway station I heard the sound of chainsaws. A line of pre-school children, all dressed in hi-viz babywear, had come to a halt on the direction of their minders. They were at an unduly safe distance from where passage had been obstructed by work. I inched past them to the front of the queue, withdrew the pocket baby and blip-bagged away.
Turning through 180 degrees and with thought now on food, I had the good sense to nip over to Morrisons' restaurant. It is impossible to maintain interest in corned beef sandwiches, soup, or a plastic pot of Tesco shepherd's pie lunch after lunch. The all day breakfast looked good and would look even better if the mushrooms and tomatoes could be replaced with a sausage and rasher. Then I spied sausage, egg, chips and beans. All for £3.50. Heavenly scoff.
