A slightly disappointing trip ..

By staying an extra day in North Yorkshire yesterday, to visit the red squirrels, I missed my bird group.

They had a great day, amongst other things they had really good views of bearded tits. So off I went today to have a final trip before collecting mum.

Unfortunately it was really breezy and the little birds were keeping themselves tucked away.
My best photo was probably this little egret, but my best sighting was this female whinchat.
