Rolling Gold
The rolling Cotswold Hills once carpeted with wheat in the summer are being gradually transformed into field upon field of stubble, glowing in the autumn sunshine.
Beautiful rural scenes here at any time of year but this was so deeply satisfying and pleasurable to see. Nearly bare now of the rolls of straw spotted on the slopes, the farmers were working hard to have the yield safely gathered in.
However, on the other side of a sprout field to the right of this shot, there appeared to be some dodgy goings on and when the workers saw my camera lens, innocently photographing sprouts I might add, they literally melted into the surrounding woodland and any evidence of their being there was surreptitiously moved out of sight. I am thinking illegal workers of some nature. Even the man on the lorry here was really agitated about the camera!
Can you spot the possible fly tipping too?
All in all an interesting scenario when all is not what it seems!
