Watching windows

The cat's new preferred haunt is on the front windowsill where he will often sit and stare into the room in a way that probably looks to passers-by as if he is desperate to be let in but tragically ignored. Actually though most attempts to get him in result in him running off and hiding somewhere until the coast is clear at which point he'll reappear again in the same spot.
