Our Strawberries Rescued!

Yep, Charmaine rescue strawberries as well! LOL. She bought the first few plants 2 years ago when I started chemotherapy, and by golly, were they tasty! Last year I bought her a few plants more and this year Ronnie bought a few. They are really working hard at producing fruit, it is not quite the time for them yet.

But ..... although Charmaine always feeds the birds around here, we are really at wits end with them eating the strawberries before they are properly ripe, so, Charmaine made a plan this afternoon! Just love it, she used plastic mesh, the kind that fruit and veggies are packed in, they bought a whole roll of it when they were still breeding with the fishies, and concocted them into an 'umbrella' to cover the precious strawberries! ;-)
