Howgills

I went into Kendal this morning to run a few errands. On the way back I took the road towards Brigsteer rather than using the main road as normal. This is looking east towards the Howgills. It is heavily cropped but I liked the bands of colour.

Spent the afternoon in the garden generally tidying up and a chat with my neighbour. It was good to catch up with her.

No 1 son phoned this evening to tell me about his PhD induction. He sounded very excited about it all and has lots of reading and work to do. He has also booked some time off work to come up for a visit at the end of October which will be nice.
