The Minster #Halifax

Had lots to do today but ran out of steam before I had even started.

Took a trip down Halifax - and decided to try my new camera out at the Minster.

Formerly the Parish Church, it became a Minster in 2009. It has a monastic foundation - the original church was built by Cluniac monks in the 12th Century, although the present structure was completed in 1438.

The box pews in the nave date from 1663.
