Forest Floor

The forest is showing very little sign of approaching Autumn in fact with the continuing warm weather it still looks like midsummer at treetop level.
However on the ground where I found these seed heads things are changing slowly and the russet colours of the season are starting to appear.

Not much sun today in fact in some areas under the trees it was quite dark.
