I'm hiding!
The hawthorn berries are very red in colour now, looking great against the blue sky this evening. The robin had been singing very loudly outside the back door for some time, and it took me some time to see where he was hiding! His red breast and cream tummy are just visible!
After the village Cafe this morning, I experimented with a marbled (vanilla and chocolate) traybake with white and milk chocolate swirled over the top. The cake itself was easy really, but the drizzled chocolates took a little patience and a couple of tries before it really worked!!
The afternoon was spent doing the weekly shop (didn't manage the on-line version this week), collecting the next Bookclub books from the library, and selecting a new organic food for Russet in the pet shop. The town was busy!
Apart from the usual shoppers, there were still plenty of tourists about, and a big property auction was taking place next to the library. Smartly dressed men walked up and down discussing bids on their mobiles - and their cars filled the car park!
