Bugsy
Or Buggles, as we sometimes like to call him.
I got such a great picture of Bugsy last night, after I'd already blipped, of him gazing cross-eyed at the camera with a smile on his wee reptilian face. This is not a patch on that but he wasn't such a willing model tonight. I'm glad I just about caught the tongue out, but unfortunately not licking his eye which is one of his favourite things to do.
Mr Dazed bought me Buggles about six years ago when we had a breeding colony of leopard geckos. He liked the look of Bugsy because he was so friendly and wandered blindly onto Mr Dazed's hand when all the other geckos ran away. In hindsight this is not a characteristic of a creature at the peak of his physical prowess. In fact Buggles is completely cross-eyed (it's SO cute though), almost blind and so stupid that he bit off one of his own doo-das and in fact gets SO excited (if you know what I mean) that he can't be kept around other geckos in case he bites off the other, remaining, doo-da. So although we no longer have a colony of geckos, Bugsy remains.
He's one of the friendliest little creatures ever though and I love him to bits. He's special.
P.S. That's his ear by the way, not a gash in the side of his head. The other special thing about leopard geckos is that you can see RIGHT THROUGH THEIR HEADS. I must blip that one day...
