Field Of Screams

I wait all year for Halloween. The day after Halloween, I'm already planning exactly what i'm doing next year... Its really an obsession. I've been to my share of haunted houses throughout the years, and a lot of them were amazing and others... I'd rather not even talk about.
On Saturday, one of my dearest friends, Sara messaged me and asked if i wanted to go to Field Of Screams (located in Lancaster) and even though i had mixed feelings about it, i agreed. The next day (sunday) she came over to my house and we printed coupons, set the GPS, and attempted to drive to Lancaster.
Honestly, with our luck i was sure that we'd get lost. The GPS was trying to take us onto back roads near my house. Not even 5 minute with it plugged in and it was immediately unplugged. We used and trusted Saras phone to get the directions needed, and twice i'm sure we were almost killed from constant lane switching (If i were to go right, it would tell me to go straight at the last minute). Eventally, we got there.
Now, I've never been to this particular attraction before so i had no idea where to park. Since Sara has been there before, she told me to park in the lot that was at the first right we made (if that makes any sense). We got our stuff, started walking and realized that we were parked in the wrong lot. We got back to the car and went to pull out... What could go wrong? Right? Well, apparently as we were walking, security blocked off the area in which we were parked so Sara had to get out, lift the rope; i drove under it and it was our secret. We did park in the right spot after that, we made sure of it.
By the time we got there, there was barely anyone there and we decided to wait becuase 1) Haunted Houses are more fun with other people. 2) two of the attractions started at night and it was still broad daylight.
As we were sitting down, all types of weirdo's apporached and harassed us.
Eventually, we went in the asylum. As we walked in, Sara was death gripping the back of my shirt and screamed as peoplejumped out to scare us. it was good. So good that we were literally running out of the house being chased by some guy with a chainsaw. The way i see it is that you know its good if you can get me to actually run. We literally broke a sweat and decided to do the hayride next. It was honestly a huge disapointment. It seemed like the actors didnt even acknowlege us and went straight towards the other people... After that we did the dungeons and the nocturnal wasteland which were okay but not as good as the asylum. It seemed like every time we were in there, Sara and I were separated (which i thought was hilarious because Sara hated it).
After that, we were done, stopped for food, and went on our jolly way. Honestly, It was longer to get there then to get home...
All in all, it was worth it. I've been to better Haunted Houses (*cough cough* Penn Hurst Asylum), but it was totally worth it. I highly reccommend going if you have the chance!
