Ladies who Lunch

I got the bus to town today to meet an old friend - we met when our girls were at play group together, and I helped look after hers while she was doing her PhD. We had a light lunch with water not wine, and the chat covered our daughters, the referendum, the current political state, her Russian class and how hard it is to learn new things at our age, my literature class and what we were both reading, her house in France, the topics discussed at my discussion group, her partner's music productions, gardens, films, holidays, and the rest I've forgotten! It was great to catch up.
