Spectator waiting for the start of the 5k event at the Bught Park, in Inverness. Part of Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running. This was the very first shot I took at the event, and my favourite by far, despite not being the greatest dog fan. Far prefer them to cats though!

There were a couple of my work colleagues taking part in this event, and ten doing the 10k race. Don't know if anyone did the marathon. Only saw, and snapped, a few of them in amongst the vast numbers of folk there. Have uploaded an album of some of the day's photos here.

Had to laugh at the not very gentlemanly conduct of the kids (boys of course) in the sequence of shots at the start of the 5k. Had it been at a higher level of event, it would have been declared a false start - several moved off just before the horn sounded. Then there was various jostling and so on. Of course unlike the humans,  the furry friend above, behaved impeccably.
