A gentle start to the week...
Oh I do like having a Monday off! It gets rid of the Monday morning blues. Mom and I decided to go to Glasgow. We wandered up the road soon after ten and caught the X77 just as it was pulling out.
I always enjoy the bus ride anyway, although we couldn't sit right at the front upstairs as we had arrived so late.
It started raining while we were on the bus and all the cows in all the fields were lying down. I think it's supposed to rain if the cows are lying down although maybe that's an old wives' tale like keeping conkers in the house being good for deterring spiders.
We got to Glasgow just before midday and went straight to John Lewis for lunch. Unfortunately, I spotted a gorgeous jacket on the way out. It was a deep blue with flecks of black. I knew it was a mistake to try it on. Too nice! Oh well! I have a spare Blipfoto badge in the bottom of my bag and I shall put that on my new jacket soon.
It was a wander down Buchanan Street to Central Station in brilliant sunshine after that, and then back again strolling across to George Square where we sat on a bench people watching for a while. I had banned myself from taking a picture of Cone Man today but can confirm that he still has his cone but the horse hasn't, and the 'Yes' sticker was gone from the horse's behind. There were still 'Yes' stickers on the other side of the Police box though.
Go large!
That's it for today. It wasn't a wild day and there was nothing much in the way of photo opportunities but it was very relaxing.
