Choppy
Backblip
After a last morning on site, battening down the hatches for the weekend in a rising gale, it was the long road home.
There is a brilliant shop near the Stornoway ferry terminal, a combination chandlers, fishing tackle shop and workwear store. Brilliant. I bought a cigarette-lighter that works in a Force 9 gale and a fetching cap.
The weather was quite rough, out in the Minch, so the Coastguard Search and Rescue boys decided to come out for a bit of training, playing with the ferry. It was an incredible exhibition of flying; holding station with the ship in a fierce gale, as steady as the proverbial rock.
I eventually got home by midnight, only to have to pack for another early start tomorrow. At least Meles will be at the end of the journey! :)
