Slippery Jack Fungi

By the end of September the fungi season should be building up. But this year we have had the driest September for 100 years. There is very little fungi about and what there is, is not in good condition. Today's image is one of only three today I found that was worth photographing. It has bright yellow pores and not gills under the cap. It also has a large ring on the stem which is clearly visible in the image. It is just separating from the cap. The species (Suillus luteus) is apparently edible, but I have not tried it.
