Today's the day....

we got the keys to our new house, and this is our view across the fields from the terrace :-). They've recently been ploughed, and as a few people have commented, it looks like the beach.

Sadly we won't be celebrating until the weekend, as Alan isn't back until Friday, and I'm still not well. I struggled to get up this morning, but I went into work only to come home at lunch time.

I got a message from our solicitor just before I left, to say that she'd completed our purchase and that I could go and collect the keys. So I called at the estate agents on the way home and then popped along to the house quickly to check everything is ok. I took the boys with me, who had a great time exploring the rooms and they seem to approve! Chrissy and Alison called round to see it too, and they said they liked it, particularly the views.

Anyway, I'm home now and I'm just going to rest and try to shake off this cold!
