Aster la vista
There's still colour in the garden. These asters have just come into flower and were spared by our visiting deer. Mrs G is still finding plants that the deer have nibbled. Our roses were a victim that we noticed today.
This evening I spotted two deer in the field outside the fence. I got Jasper, the borderline collie, and we went through the gate. The deer just looked at us. Jasper didn't even pay them any attention as he was waiting for me to throw a stick. So I threw the stick in the direction of the deer. They continued to stare even with Jasper running toward them. The only ran off when I ran towards them too!
The greenhouse project made some progress as I now have all the roof vents (opening windows) glazed and installed. I have glazed about a third of the roof now. The forecast is for rain on Thursday so tomorrow I hope to get as much as I can done but I can't start until after we visit our neighbours who are kindly showing us how the built their chicken coop. That's another project on my list for later!
