Almost there

1500 miles in four days but the journey is almost over. Today was traversing almost the length of the British Isles starting at Cheltenham, dropping in at Lichfield to drop of Tricia before heading on up through Glasgow to Uig at the northern tip of Skye. Always a bit of pressure driving that distance to catch a ferry at the far end - the satnav was predicting I was going to miss the ferry for the greater part of the journey - but the timings worked out OK.
From nowhere the Calmac ferry appeared around the headland in a pool of sunshine and I knew I was back in the land of the shifting light. Under two hours later, the last few miles to the house were easily covered and it was as if I had never left. Good to be back.
