River Yealm
We got all the housekeeping chores done and then headed out to anchor in Cawsand Bay . The forecast this morning told of easterly gales and we decided this was a bad place to stay as it's very exposed in easterly winds.
We worked out that if we got a wriggle on we could make it into the river Yealm while there was still enough water over the bar. It was very calm and still as were slid into the river with 15 minutes to spare for our deadline and 0.2m under the keel ! A bit closer than we like really :))
We moored up on the visitors pontoon and looked around at the beautiful surroundings. What a lovely place to stay and very sheltered from all directions.
There are 3 pubs and a yacht club with bar and restaurant so we thought we set off to find out what they were like . This is the view down river from The Swan :))
